Tether Backs Generative Bionics in €70M Round to Advance Industrial Humanoid AI
Tether's investment arm has led a €70 million funding round for Generative Bionics, a spin-off from the Italian Institute of Technology developing industrial humanoid robots. The round included participation from AMD Ventures and RoboIT through CDP Venture Capital’s AI fund.
The humanoid systems are designed for heavy-duty industrial applications, combining advanced AI with safe human interaction capabilities. Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino framed the investment as strengthening critical infrastructure while expanding human potential through robotics.
Generative Bionics plans to secure its first industrial contracts by early 2026, targeting a humanoid robotics market projected to reach trillion-dollar valuation by 2050.
